The Existing Airport Located at Belora, south-west of Amravati at a distance of 14.50 kms, was constructed by PWD in the year 1992 covering an area of 74.80 Ha. Its co-ordinates are 200 48' N and 770 49' with aerodrome elevation of 341.50 m.
Government of Maharashtra initially transferred this airport to MIDC in the year 1997 from PWD and later on vide GR dtd: 27/02/2009 transferred this airport to MADC from MIDC for Development and further expansion and appointed MADC as Special Planning Authority .
Presently the airport which has a runway of 1372 x 30.5 mts is being utilized for small aircraft operations for Private, non-scheduled/ Charted & Government flights.
